JOB TITLE: Pastry Chef/Store Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Effectively manage pastry shop operations. Ensure production and maintenance of high quality pastry items. Assist with day-to-day operations of the juice bar side of business, by ensuring operation to company standard and procedures. Provide exceptional, courteous customer service to all customers, adhering to established food preparation standards, and company operating procedures. Maintain a clean, clear and comfortable store environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in pastry/baking operation required.
- Experience in retail or customer service with some experience in handling cash and operating cash register preferred.
- Minimum of high school education or equivalent
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Basic understanding of Professional Baking and Pastries
- Develop and produce pastry items in accordance with established procedures, recipes, and customer’s specification
- Assist with the juice side of business when not baking by becoming proficient in preparing juices and smoothies to recipes and customer requirement.
- Process fresh produce/ingredients delivery by cleaning, air drying and storage.
- Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customers need.
- Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations. Should a complaint arise, must report all customer complaints to owner
- Answer customer’s questions regarding blends, preparation, product freshness etc.
- Execute all financial transactions by following cashier policies and procedures including, but not limited to; cash, credit cards, gift cards, etc. Utilize correct cash handling procedure.
- Act with integrity, honesty and maintain a calm and cheerful demeanor
- Maintain a high standard of safety, sanitation and understanding of food handling procedure.
- Follow sound hygiene standards, including frequent hand washing
- Routinely clean the kitchen, baking equipment/tools, juice bar, all juice/smoothie equipment, customer seating areas, and floors.
- Report operational inconsistencies, potential safety hazards, and employee accidents to owner
- Maintain open line of communication with other store employees and owner
- Direct the activities of other store employees
- Work special events as needed
- Other duties as assigned
